DLMGA actively engages with community members and elected representatives across all three tiers of government-local, provincial, and federal-to co-create innovative, solution-oriented and sustainable solutions to pressing challenges and problems in the society.
DLMGA firmly believes in an inclusive and participatory approach. The community’s needs and priorities are of utmost importance to DLMGA. Hence, the initiatives are assessed, designed and implemented based on community’ demand.
Water Project:
DLMGA is working with Dalit communities in Rautahat district to enhance access to clean drinking water. So far, 10 tubewells (underground water pumps) are installed in a community of 200 households. DLMGA is building partnerships for additional 50 tubewells.
The initiative was implemented after the community pointed out water scarcity, sanitation and health as their major problems.
