DLMGA initiated online petition seeking justice for Nabaraj BK and five friends brutally killed on May 23, 2020. With 32,782 signatures, the petition drew significant national and international attention, in solidarity with their families’ pursuit of justice for their beloved. Along with the petition, DLMGA produced and shared a series of educational videos and infographics on social media to enhance people’s understanding  of caste dynamics and encourage open but critical deliberation on caste inequalities.

With an aim to reinfornce the Caste-Based Discrimination and Untouchability (CBDU) Act 2011 and constitutional rights for Dalits and marginalized communities, DLMGA led digital campaign reaching over 40,000 social media users and engaged them in empowering information and conversation related to law, rights and constitutional clauses provisioned for Dalit, and caste-based violence.

To deepen the campaign’s reach, DLMGA partnered with youth leaders and local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to promote community dialogues and strengthen the Dalit movement and organizing at the grassroots.
